Mikkel Nilars serves as deputy head of the Nordic Beet Research Foundation and specializes in precision farming and weed control strategies. Mikkel has the overall responsibility for projects that include row spraying with Conviso One, development of integrated control methods and optimization of spraying techniques for sugar beet cultivation. In addition, Mikkel coordinates our “Sugar Beet Acedemy” which is a series of professional workshops, with the goal of bringing knowledge into play among the growers. This includes our winter meetings and other workshops, where the latest research and practical solutions are presented, with a special focus on sustainability, efficiency and strategic planning for the coming seasons. Mikkel has the overall responsibility for NBR’s Danish trial team.
